Ganesh Chaturthi aftermath: Idol immersions leave rivers polluted

As festival of Ganesh Chaturthi concluded on Tuesday, rivers and lakes once again became polluted following immersion of idols across Maharashtra. Locals alleged that the authorities have failed to manage the water bodies without getting polluted. Even the municipal have made several efforts to curtail the practice.
