Salmon Pie
If sitting in a cosy corner, tucking into a slice of apple or Shepherd's pie (depending on if we are craving for something sweet or salty), accompanied by a cup of coffee, as you read your favourite work of literature, doesn't sound comforting, we don't know what is. Our favourite part of the baked dish, which is typically made using pastry dough that covers sweet or savoury fillings, is the crust, which is savoury. Sweet and savoury
This is for those who don't have a sweet tooth, and take their sweet with a pinch of salt. Le Cafe's salted caramel pie uses chocolate and pink salt to balance the flavours. This dish was born when their pastry chef, chef Rupesh Petkar, took his Polish colleague's advice."He told me that desserts are not always meant to be a sweet. And I took a chance with this pie," chef says, adding that this pie always makes him nostalgic.

Sushi pie
If you're a sushi lover, the Asian Margarita Pizzette at Pa Pa Ya will make you smile. A light version of a baked pizza, it's made with tortilla sheet and topped with Edamame pods and truffles (vegetarian option). And though the flavours are Italian, the ingredients are Japanese. Executive chef Sahil Singh."I wanted to create a light and healthy dish using ingredients like tomato and basil sauce, which anyone can make at home."
