What started as a small collective of Dalit comedians has now grown into a space that blends humour with lived experiences. "It's not comedians telling Dalit jokes, it's Dalit comedians telling jokes for everyone," says Tangade.
The set promises everyday observations with a personal edge. Tangade points out how comedy offers a different kind of stage: "Here, people listen, laugh and acknowledge - there's no back and forth, no argument." Without claiming to change mindsets overnight, the comics lean into storytelling that reflects real moments.
"Small things still happen, and this is my way of creating awareness," she adds. With the show being recorded for online platforms, Blue Material is looking to take its voice beyond the room - keeping it honest, relatable and open to all.
