Take inspiration from Ananya Panday's contemporary take on traditional fashion

As the city readies to welcome Ganesha in less than a month, the air is slowly turning festive, and actress Ananya Panday in this frame, gives the traditional Maharashtrian-style Paithani a stylish upgrade. Recently, the actor uploaded a post on her social media, where she was seen wearing a deep blue Paithani, with a silver-tinted border, and colourful floral motifs bringing a pop of colour to the drape.

While the fall of the saree does most of the talking, the basic yet chic backless blouse gives the otherwise traditional look a more contemporary feel. Panday kept her accessories minimal, opting for delicate earrings and a few understated pieces, and wore her hair in a sleek bun with flowers.

The result is a festive look that feels elegant without being too much, and also gives us all a subtle reminder that a Paithani can be styled in a way that feels fresh while still keeping its Maharashtrian roots firmly in place.
