For a girl who has always been loud (and loved for it), a quiet celebration marked her much-awaited marriage over the weekend. With only a cocoon of close-knit kin in attendance, casting director Shanoo Sharma married her longtime love on April 25 - in a room flooded with family, fragrant flowers, and unfiltered joy. Mum Rita (daughter to the legendary Mukesh) looked resplendent alongside father Udesh and brother Sameer, as the comely couple exchanged blush pink rose garlands.

Radiant in orange, the beautiful bride did her share of laughing and crying - tears and tissue doing the rounds on a very emotional morning. A few hours later, Shanoo made it Insta-official with a heartwarming message: "With God's Grace I found the greatest man to walk this Earth with…" and, as expected, everyone from Karan Johar and Ranveer Singh to Priyanka Chopra, Bhumi Pednekar, Vaani Kapoor, Vikrant Massey, Rashmika Mandanna, and Ananya Panday joined the digital chorus to wish her. For these folk and the rest of her nearest and dearest, the quintessential ‘big, fat Indian wedding' will follow at some point in the future.

In Shanoo's line of work, the brickbats come as frequently as bouquets, but those who are privileged to receive her unconditional love will say this: it is poetic irony that a girl full of sunshine has finally found her Ray - may they shine bright together.

But outside his Bandra residence, a very different congregation had gathered - patiently awaiting their annual darshan of the god of cricket.

Accompanied by wife Anjali and flanked by a sea of khaki and cameras - with superfan Sudhir Gautam leading the cheer - Sachin cut through a mountain of cake as the paps went into overdrive. The undisputed highlight of the frenzy? A pint-sized fan in a custom t-shirt that served as a sartorial love letter to the Master Blaster. When a voice from the crowd gushed, "Your youngest fan and the cutest also," Sachin didn't miss a beat, replying with a grin, "Without any doubt."

Watching the mania unfold from a balcony was the family's newest addition, Saaniya Chandhok. Clearly, being the god of cricket comes with a lifetime contract and, as Saaniya is finding out, the fan club only gets younger.
