Catch this musical stand-up show by an ex-software engineer-turned-yoga instructor

A year after debuting his show in Mumbai, Alexander the Comic is back in the city this weekend. Performed in a mix of English and Tamil, this show is an insight into his childhood and of growing up in a small village in Tamil Nadu. Carrying the same theme as his previous show Yogi and the Bear, Alexander wants to tell people about the importance of being optimistic and staying happy with what you have.

Having toured across the US, UK, Singapore, Hong Kong and Malayasia, Alexander's act is unique as it is one of the few stand-up comedy shows that is completely family friendly. His passion for music comes across in the many opportunities he takes to indulge in performing Tamil and Bollywood music on stage.
When asked about the bilingual nature of his show, Alexander is confident of its reach, "I wanted to go deeper into the stories I talked about on stage and the only way to be completely authentic was to use my mother tongue, which is Tamil. Few in the audience do not understand the language but the interesting fact about this show is that they are able to follow my stories from the context of my use of music on stage."
