Can you guess which place is this in the city which was earlier called 'Bombay'? Clue 1: It has a lot of neo-classical and Gothic revival buildings and parks built in the 19th century.

This is D. N road in south Mumbai and the picture was taken in 1952.

Formerly known as Hornby Road, this road was broadened into an avenue in the 1860s and western border large plots were laid and impressive buildings were constructed.

Earlier known as Hornby Road, Dr Dadabhai Naoroji Road, commonly known as DN Road is a delight for an architecture lover.

The stretch, which begins at Crawford Market and ends at Flora Fountain, is a Grade II streetscape under the 1995 Heritage Regulations of Greater Bombay.

It is home to many old heritage buildings like Crawford Market, Vatcha Agiary, JN Petit Institute and Reading Room, Sir Jamsetjee Jeejebhoy School of Art and many more.
