The familiarity about Matt Damon's long journey home notwithstanding, The Odyssey is the talk of the town. While Christopher Nolan did a good job, there is something about reading the OG, Homer, that can give you street cred.

But if you are not versed in Greek, the aptly titled Odyssey: Homer's Epic Journey is an app worth trying. Fun, interactive, and enriched by illustrations, the app certainly makes reading through a complex book far more entertaining.

Plus, the vivid myths and monsters have a separate section to be explored in. The story of Orestes? Or the Cyclopes? Consider it a pastime on your next commute. Odysseus could have done with that.
