17-year-old girl abducted, raped by village youth

A 17-year-old girl in Uttar Pradesh was allegedly abducted and raped by a youth of her own village, police said today.

Bablu Tewari (20) allegedly abducted the girl last week and raped her.

The incident came to light only when the girl some how managed to escape and reached her home on Sunday night.

On the basis of the FIR filed with the Chauri police, raids were carried out to nab the accused, who is still absconding.

Station incharge Satyendra Kumar said the girl has been sent for medical examination.u00a0
