Three foreign tourists were allegedly molested and heckled by at least eight men, belonging to businessmen families, in South Delhi's posh Saket area on the day of Holi, police said today.

Police have arrested all the eight accused identified as Surjeet, Krishanjeet, Prince, Gurdeep, Jaspal, Vijay Singh, Sunny and Deepu in the case after the three women filed a complaint in this regard.

The incident took place on Monday afternoon when the three young women, who hail from Germany, South Africa and Columbia were going to Anupam Cinema in an auto rickshaw after shopping at Select City Walk mall in Saket, said a police official. As their auto reached Press Enclave road, it was waylaid by a Toyota Fortuner vehicle whose all eight occupants, who were drunk, then molested the women.

On being resisted, they also heckled them and slapped them, the victims, told police in their complaint. When they raised an alarm, the assailants fled from the spot in their SUV. The women approached police who took them to a hospital for medical assistance and examination.

"A complaint was registered and a manhunt launched for the accused all of whom were arrested by Tuesday evening. They were produced before a local court today which sent them to judicial custody. All of them belong to families of businessmen," the official said. The women had come to India along with a tourist group and were staying at a hotel in Paharganj.
