A former BSP minister and his three associates have been booked for allegedly attacking a truck driver under Kotwali police station area here, police said today


Ballia (UP): A former BSP minister and his three associates have been booked for allegedly attacking a truck driver under Kotwali police station area here, police said today.

Truck driver Brahma Singh lodged an FIR against former BSP minister Ghura Ram and others for attacking and beating him last night.

The incident took place allegedly after an accident between the truck and the car in which Ram and his aides were travelling, near the railway station, Incharge of Kotwali police station Ajay Rai said.

The villagers, in turn, allegedly beat up Ram and his supporters, after which he (Ghura Ram) also lodged an FIR against Singh and four to five other persons, he said. Investigation is on in this connection, Rai added.
