Music teacher Jagdip Singh (24) sodomised the Class VI student on October 10. The accused, hailing from Punjab, fled the city after the victim's parents lodged an FIR with the Harmara Police station early this week, SHO Ismail Khan said, lodged the FIR.
A case under various sections of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act was registered against him, Khan said. The boy's parents have accused the school administration of protecting the teacher despite the seriousness of the crime, the SHO said quoting the FIR.
A number of activists of Sri Rajput Karni Sena, Sarva Samaj Sangh, and family members of the victim yesterday held a protest outside the school demanding arrest of accused.
