When police went to arrest Jadhav, he was in an unconscious state. He was immediately rushed to Sassoon Hospital for treatment and the victim was made to undergo a medical check-up, which showed that she was raped.

The victim in her statement said that 10 months ago, Jadhav started harassing her and threatened her to have physical relations with him or else he would commit suicide and hold her responsible for it in his suicide note. Jadhav's mother is also said to be involved in this matter, so an FIR has been registered against her as well. Both of them are in police custody.
