In what was the second such incident in less than a week, a water pipeline burst outside Century mill compound in Worli around 4 pm Thursday disrupting traffic.

This is the second such incident after a water pipeline burst at Dadar on Monday night.

Large amounts of water gushed out of the pipeline near Century Mill due to a leak, which was reportedly due to some trenching work going on at the spot.

The gushing water led to traffic moving at a slow pace on Pandurang Budhkar Marg.

On Monday night, a minor pipeline burst in Dadar forcing traffic to be slow-moving on one lane of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Road.

According to civic officials, there was a complaint of leakage and a burst was identified in the area's water pipeline on Monday night. But because the road is made of concrete, and a Mahanagar gas pipeline is nearby, the BMC has been extra careful.
