Passengers travelling to and from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) may face difficulties getting transport as app-based cab operators in Mumbai observe a strike on Tuesday, an official advisory said on Tuesday.
The airport authorities have advised passengers to plan their journeys in advance as the availability of ride-hailing services may be limited.
In a passenger advisory, the airport said the strike could affect the availability of app-based cabs to and from the airport.
Travellers have been advised to leave early, plan their airport transfers in advance and consider alternative modes of transport.
Airport operations are continuing normally, but passengers have been urged to allow extra travel time to avoid delays in reaching their flights.
The advisory issued by CSMIA said, "Due to an ongoing strike by some app-based cab operators in the city today, the availability of these services to and from the airport may be limited. Passengers are advised to plan their travel in advance and consider alternate modes of transportation. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation."
With app-based cab availability expected to remain affected during the strike, passengers have been advised to factor in additional time for their airport journey.
The airport has asked travellers to make alternative transport arrangements where necessary and cooperate with the advisory to avoid last-minute difficulties.
