The BEST on Thursday announced that it will be icrease bus frequency on nine routes in the city on May 31, June 1 and 2 in view of the 63 hour long mega-block by Central Railway. The buses have been added to reduce the inconvinence caused to commuters by the block. The undertaking will run 254 extra services on nine routes with 43 extra buses during the mega block period.
The frequency of following buses have been increased - 1, 2Ltd., A.C.-10, 11Ltd., 14, A-45, C-42 and A-174

Western Railways has announced a block on Virar-Vaitarna section on the intervening night of June 1 and 2 to carry out maintainence work. The block will be in place from midnight till 6.20am.
