CyberTech Asia, an international platform focused on cybersecurity and digital innovation, will be held in Mumbai in March 2027, marking its debut in India, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said on Friday.
In a post on X, Fadnavis said he met CyberTech Global founder Amir Rapaport, who is also the author of CyberMania, and Israeli Consul General Yaniv Revach at his official residence, Varsha, in south Mumbai.
The discussions covered the Maharashtra government's MahaCyber initiative, emerging technologies and cybersecurity practices, the chief minister said.
In his post on X, Fadnavis said, "CyberTech Asia coming soon.. It was a pleasure to meet the Founder of Cybertech Global and author of Cybermania Mr Amir Rapaport with Israel CG Yaniv Revach, at my official residence. CyberTech Gobal is a globally acclaimed, premier international exhibition and conference platform for the cybersecurity and digital innovation ecosystems. We had a nice discussion on our initiative MahaCyber, emerging technologies and practices on cyber security. I thank Mr Amir and CG for the invitation to the CyberTech Global Tel Aviv (Jan 2027). We welcome, look forward to colab and bring CyberTech Asia to Mumbai in March 2027, which will be its first time in India!"
Announcing the proposed event, Fadnavis said Maharashtra looked forward to collaborating with the organisers to bring CyberTech Asia to Mumbai in March 2027. The event will mark the platform's first edition in India.
CyberTech Global organises international exhibitions and conferences focused on cybersecurity, digital innovation and emerging technologies. Its events bring together industry professionals, technology companies, government representatives and cybersecurity experts to discuss developments and challenges in the sector.
Fadnavis also thanked Rapaport and Revach for inviting him to attend CyberTech Global in Tel Aviv in January 2027.
According to the chief minister, the meeting included discussions on MahaCyber, the state's cybersecurity initiative aimed at addressing digital threats and online fraud.
The initiative serves as a state-level framework for strengthening cybersecurity, investigating cybercrime and improving responses to digital threats. Its work is particularly relevant as online financial fraud and other cyber offences remain concerns for law enforcement agencies.
The meeting also focused on emerging technologies and cybersecurity practices, although the chief minister's post did not specify any new agreements or projects arising from the discussions.
