The Opposition even demanded the CM's resignation, accusing the government of insensitivity. Farmers suicide in the state touched a toll of 660 this year.
Facing vehement reactions, Fadnavis explained that the CM's Relief Fund has separate accounts for drought relief, and the funds extended to the dance troupe was not from those heads.
"The fund extracted here is neither from drought relief nor Jalyukt Shivar," he said while attending a conference in the city. Meanwhile, the BJP came out in support of the chief minister.
