Drugs Case: Maharashtra minister's son-in-law sent to NCB custody till January 18

Maharashtra NCP leader Nawab Malik's son-in-law, Sameer Khan was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), on Wednesday, in connection to the on-going drug probe.

On Thursday, he has been sent to NCB custody till January 18, NCB sources revealed.

Earlier, NCB Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede in a statement said that Khan was arrested after his detailed interrogation whole day.

The arrest has followed the seizure of 200 kg Ganja from one courier at Bandra West last week.

In the follow-up operation, huge stash of imported strains of Ganja was recovered from the residence of one Karan Sajnani at Khar.

Sajnani, along with two sisters - Rahila Furniturewala, Shaista Furniturewala and Ramkumar Tiwari co-owner of Muchhad Paanwala, were arrested under the provisions of the NDPS Act and produced in the court.

Karan Sajnani and Rahila Furniturewala sent two days of NCB custody.
