Farmers, fishermen block Vasai highway in loan waiver protest

On Thursday, workers of the Prahar Janshakti Party, along with farmers and fishermen, staged a protest on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad National Highway in Vasai.

The protesters blocked the highway and burned tyres, demanding that the state government implement a complete loan waiver and issue clean "Satbara" (7/12 extract) land records for farmers.
