Opening the Budget Session with a Marathi address, and continuing in Hindi, Governor Acharya Devvrat, outlined an ambitious mix of political promises, economic targets, and welfare measures, from pushing a resolution to the Maharashtra-Karnataka border dispute to projecting trillion-dollar growth plans, massive investment inflows and expanded health schemes as the state heads into its fiscal roadmap for the year.

Border dispute back in focus
