Maharashtra projects require Centre-state coordination

Several large infrastructure and development initiatives in Maharashtra involve coordination between state departments and central ministries or agencies. Such projects can require clearances, funding support and administrative coordination at multiple levels.

Fadnavis's meeting with Modi is expected to help the state government raise these requirements directly with the Centre as it works on its development agenda.

The chief minister said he was grateful to Modi for his guidance on development-related issues and for the support extended to Maharashtra.

Meeting comes amid focus on infrastructure

Maharashtra has been pursuing multiple infrastructure projects covering transport, urban development and other sectors. The state government has been seeking greater coordination with the Centre for projects that involve both levels of government.

The meeting between Fadnavis and Modi was focused on these development-related matters, with the chief minister presenting details of ongoing projects and seeking further cooperation.
