Maharashtra FDA chief Tukaram Mundhe has Mumbai cheering as eateries face crackdown

Blue seems to be the colour of choice for clean-up dynamo Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Maharashtra, Commissioner Tukaram Mundhe. Sartorial preferences aside, Mundhe has Mumbai cheering for him as he cooks the goose of those who violate FDA rules in their kitchen.

With the eat-heat on, no wonder food establishments are stating with pride, we are not Michelin star, but Mundhe star.

When we asked Mundhe, currently one of Mumbai's most popular men, what's with the blue, he replied: "Nothing to be curious [about]. I have other colours shirts also including white, light blue, light pink, etc." That said, Mundhe sure likes blue.
