Mumbai rain disrupts flight operations; 11 go-arounds, 7 diversions reported

As Mumbai records heavy rainfall for the fourth consecutive day, disrupting normal life, the flight operations at Mumbai Airport have been affected. According to information received by mid-day.com, the airport has reported 11 go-arounds since early Tuesday morning, three of which were repeated due to low visibility at the airport.

Furthermore, the airport has seen seven diversions throughout Tuesday.

Airlines have again issued advisories to inform passengers about the potential delays.

An Indigo statement on X read, "Persistent rainfall and thunderstorms are affecting Mumbai, causing possible flight delays. Our teams are closely monitoring the situation to resume operations as soon as conditions improve. Travellers are advised to check flight status on our website or app and allow extra travel time due to slow road conditions. We appreciate your patience and understanding; your safety remains our top priority."
