Under Metro stations and right in front of JioWorld BKC, certain autorickshaw drivers operate like a mafia. They refuse meter fares, demand inflated fares, and pressure passengers the moment they step out. What should cost Rs 40-Rs 60 suddenly becomes Rs 150 or more. Argue, and you face aggression or delay. These organised groups target hurried office-goers, visitors, and seniors who just want a quick ride. Can the authorities please clamp down on these drivers?

It's ridiculous that no action has been taken on the enroachments of this hut built on D'Monte Street in Bandra West. This person seems to have some political connections as all other enroachments have been demolished in the Bandra Hill Road area.

This road divider on the southbound lane of WEH at Jogeshwari East, right opposite Kenorita Garment hub, has been there for last three years, left as it is by the contractor. This creates a bottleneck and heavy pile-up daily as traffic that comes from the flyover and below the flyover merges at this point. MMRDA, BMC, local MLA, and the corporator have all been ignoring this. Please take this up with authorities.

A serious public safety issue exists on Ghodbunder Road, specifically the 4-5 km stretch between Hotel Fountain and Gaimukh chowpatty. Despite repeated complaints and temporary fillings, large potholes reappear within days, making daily travel dangerous for thousands of commuters. This is every year's monsoon story and during non-monsoon, you will find some or the other potholes coming up regularly. For two-wheeler riders, the situation is frightening even during the daytime. If someone were to lose their life due to these dangerous conditions, who would be held responsible?

This footpath at the entrance of building 200/216, Ishwar Bhawan was dug up by the BMC about a few months back (before the monsoon started) for some water connection/inspection. It has till date not been resurfaced causing inconvenience and posing a danger to the public, especially senior citizens.

The gate of Prabat Apartments at Sardar Balwantsingh (Dockyard Road) and Gunpowder Road at Mazgaon opens towards the pavement blocking the pavement. This is dangerous for pedestrians, mostly seniors and schoolchildren.

After Mumbaikars sent in their questions and woes to mid-day last Monday, some of the authorities concerned responded. We haven't given up on the rest. We shall continue to hold authorities accountable for the state of the city.

BMC responds: Prashant Jawale, sub-engineer, Bridges Department, addressing the query said, "The approval for the project from the standing committee is pending, and we are expecting that it could be done by October. After the approval the process of installing a roof will start quickly."

Traffic police respond: An officer from the Kanjurmarg traffic police, under whom the Saidhan Hospital Junction comes said, "We have sent riders to the junction to check what the issue is. An appropriate solution for the issue will be applied to ease traffic movement at the junction."

BMC responds: "It is helpful while raising complaints that the exact location, name of the road, or at least name of the area is given. If the complainant lodges a complaint on the MARG portal, all details are to be provided. Without details we cannot resolve the issue," a civic official told mid-day. He added, "The Stormwater Drains Department is checking covers of drains across the city."

Railways responds: The platform surfacing work is in progress at Grant Road station PF nos. 1 and 4. Now platform surfacing work on PF no 4 is 90 per cent done and Cover Over Platform will be completed shortly. At PF no. 1, 50 per cent work of surfacing has been completed from north-end. Contractors have been instructed to attend these types of locations at PF no. 1 on urgency to avoid any inconvenience.
