A fire broke out at a commercial building at Chakala in Andheri at around 10:00 am on Wednesday morning. The fire brigade officials have reached the spot. The exact reason for the fire is yet to be known


A fire broke out at a commercial building at Chakala in Andheri at around 10:00 am on Wednesday morning. The fire brigade officials have reached the spot and are in the process of extinguishing the fire. The exact reason for the fire is yet to be known.

A grade-2 fire broke out on the second floor of 8-storey 'Business Point' building on the Western Express Highway near suburban Andheri, fire brigade officials said.

According to the fire brigade officials, "We received a call at 10 am on Wednesday that a fire had broken out at Business Point Building near Western Express Highway in Chakala area and four fire brigade tankers and four fire engines reached the spot and doused the fire that had occured on the second floor of the building. No one was injured in the incident."

"Since it was morning time, most people had not reached their offices, hence there were not many persons there at the time of the fire. All those present have been successfully taken out," the official added.
