Anshu Venkat, a 26-year-old boy, left his home at Grant Road East on September 28 at around 4.00 am to go for a walk. He did not take his mobile phone or wallet and has not returned home since.
Anshu lives in Mumbai with his parents and older sister. At the time he left, he was wearing black sports shorts with white side stripes, a grey âConverse' (brand) hoodie, and black shoes. He is 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs approximately 56 kg.
Anshu's mother, Farida Venkat, filed a missing person complaint at the DB Marg Police Station (Lamington Road) on September 29. Anshu, who is a drummer and music producer, did not have his phone or wallet and was recovering from Dengue.
Farida added, "We are now expanding the search across the city, with the same intensity as in Grant Road." A police source stated, "We are going through hours of footage. Our investigation is ongoing. I cannot say more at this stage." Farida Venkat vouched for the police, saying they are "doing a thorough, brilliant job."
