The lone survivor of the fatal BMW crash that occurred on September 20 has regained consciousness a week later, Breach Candy Hospital sources informed mid-day. The survivor, Aditya Oswal, was undergoing treatment at Breach Candy Hospital after suffering serious injuries in the crash. However, he is still not in a condition to record his statement, said sources.

Reports still awaited

According to the sources, even after a week of collecting blood samples, his reports are still awaited, leaving investigators without crucial evidence as they probe the circumstances leading to the crash. With Oswal now conscious, investigators are expected to record his statement once doctors consider him fit to speak.

The accident took place in the early hours of September 20, when the BMW, travelling towards Haji Ali from Marine Drive, crashed through the roadside barrier near Lotus Jetty and plunged nearly 70-75 feet into an under-construction parking area.
