Central Railway will operate the second phase of a 15-day special traffic and power block at Titwala in Maharashtra's Thane district from midnight of September 2-3 to midnight of September 8-9, as part of work to extend the platform to accommodate 15-car suburban rakes.

The 15-day special traffic and power block is being operated from the midnight of August 28-29 to the midnight of September 11-12, with blocks of five to six hours every midnight.

The second phase of the block will be imposed from the midnight of September 2-3 to the midnight of September 8-9, from 12 am to 5 am each night, on the UP and DOWN North-East lines.

Mumbai suburban network services affected

All Titwala-bound suburban services will be extended to Asangaon, while all services originating from Titwala will originate from Asangaon until the midnight of September 11-12.

On September 2-3 and from September 4-5 to September 8-9, suburban services will not be available between Titwala and Kasara during the block period.

The following trains will arrive at their destinations 30 to 40 minutes late on September 2-3 and from September 4-5 to September 8-9:

Central Railway said late-running trains and special trains, if announced later, will also be regulated or rescheduled as per operational convenience.

Details of the block after September 8-9 will be shared in due course.

The railway administration said the blocks are essential for infrastructure upkeep and safety and requested passengers to bear with the inconvenience caused.
