The Central Railway, while sharing Mumbai local train updates, on Thursday said that it will operate a series of special traffic and power day blocks between October 24 and November 1, 2025 to carry out post non-interlocking works linked to the Karjat Yard remodelling project.
According to officials, the blocks are essential for infrastructure maintenance and safety.
The block will be in effect from 11:20 am to 1:20 pm on October 24 and from October 27 to November 1, and from 11:20 am to 3:45 pm on October 25 and 26, 2025, the Central Railway said.
The affected section will be Nagnath Cabin-Karjat, the officials said.
During this period, suburban train services between Karjat and Khopoli will remain suspended, they said.
The following local train services will be cancelled on 24, 25, 28 October and 1 November 2025:

Repercussions on suburban trains due to the block is as under:
Suburban services between Karjat - Khopoli will not be available during the block period
Following suburban trains will be cancelled on 24.10.2025, 25.10.2025, 28.10.2025 and 01.11.2025.
- Karjat-Khopoli locals departing Karjat at 12 hrs and 13.15 hrs
- Khopoli-Karjat locals departing Khopoli at 11.20 hrs and 12.40 hrs
There will be no cancellation of suburban locals on other days of the block, the officials said.
"These maintenance mega blocks are essential for infrastructure upkeep and safety. Passengers are requested to bear with the railway administration for the inconvenience caused," an official statement said.
