Central Railway will undertake a special traffic and power block at Diva station during the intervening night of Friday, June 19, and Saturday, June 20, for launching girders of a new foot overbridge (FOB) at both the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) and Kalyan ends of the station.

The block will be operated from 12.10 am to 4.10 am on June 20 on the Thane-Dombivali UP and DOWN Fast lines, the fifth and sixth lines, and the electrified Diva-Nilje section on the Diva-Panvel-Roha route.

As a result, the Ambarnath-CSMT local departing Ambarnath at 3.43 am and the CSMT-Ambarnath local departing CSMT at 5.16 am on Saturday will remain cancelled.

Several mail and express trains will also be affected. UP Fast line and sixth line services will be diverted via the UP Slow line between Kalyan and Thane during the block period.

The 11003 Dadar-Sawantwadi Road Express, scheduled to depart Dadar at 12.05 am on Saturday, has been rescheduled to leave at 4 am.

The Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT)-Patliputra Superfast Express, LTT-Bhubaneswar Superfast Express, and LTT-Gorakhpur Kushinagar Superfast Express will be diverted and may run 10 to 15 minutes late.

Several UP-direction services, including the Jananeshwari Express, Konark Express, Hussain Sagar Express, and Howrah-CSMT Mail, will be diverted via the UP Slow line and are expected to arrive 30 to 40 minutes behind schedule.

Central Railway said the block is necessary for infrastructure work and passenger safety and requested commuters to bear with the inconvenience.

Mumbai: Central Railway cancels mega block on Sunday amid NEET (UG) 2026 exam

Central Railway has announced that all the 1,820 suburban services will operate on Sunday to facilitate candidates appearing for the NEET (UG) 2026 examination.

The railway administration has also decided not to impose any mega block on the day to ensure smooth and uninterrupted suburban train operations across all lines.

Central Railway said that instead of the usual Sunday schedule of around 1,200 services, all the 1,820 suburban trains will run as per the regular weekday timetable.

This step has been taken to ensure that a large number of NEET (UG) aspirants and their parents can travel to examination centres without delays or inconvenience.
