The Humsafar Trust, a Mumbai community organisation for the rights of the Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender (LGBT) community literally put the quack into their 'Queers against quacks' campaign held on Tuesday afternoon at the Mumbai Press Club near Azad Maidan.

'Quacks Whack' the lgbt community brought in a duck mascot to mark their queers against quacks campaign on Tuesday.

The programme which saw LGBT people and supporters start a campaign called 'Nothing2Cure' targetted medical professionals who claim to cure gay persons sometimes by using shock therapy or aversion therapy.

The community brought in a person dressed as a duck to literally put the quacks into quack. There are a number of doctors on their target list many from Delhi in fact.

This is the first time that the LGBT community is holding their 'Queers against quacks' campaign in a big visible public forum. They thought the time was apt as today is the International Day against Homophobia and Transphobia which goes by the acronym IDAHT. Globally May 17 is being marked with the theme 'Mental health and well being'.
