Mumbai: Tree in middle of road near Dahisar station raises safety concerns

A mid-sized tree standing in the middle of a busy road outside Dahisar West railway station has become a daily hazard for motorists and pedestrians, who say the unusual obstruction is causing traffic bottlenecks and could lead to a serious accident.

"For someone visiting the area for the first time, especially at night or during heavy rains, it can be dangerous," says Tanvi Pawaskar, a local resident.

Rohit Trivedi, ward officer, R North ward, said, "The gardens department staff has been notified. We will put a fence around the tree as soon as possible and also put signboards."
