Mumbai weather: IMD forecasts heavy rain, gusty winds; conditions likely to improve from Friday

Mumbai is likely to witness another wet day, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasting moderate to heavy rain across parts of the city and suburbs over the next 24 hours, along with the possibility of very heavy showers at isolated locations.

The Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC), Mumbai, has also warned of gusty winds of 60-70 kmph, which could trigger waterlogging and traffic snarls in vulnerable areas.

However, the weather is expected to improve gradually from Friday, with rainfall reducing in intensity and no unusual rain activity forecast over the following four days, IMD officials said.
