Mumbai and its suburbs are likely to experience generally cloudy skies with occasional spells of light to moderate rain, according to the weather forecast issued for Wednesday.
The high tide is expected at 11:16 am, reaching 3.98 metres, while another high tide is forecast at 11:14 pm, with a height of 3.58 metres.
The low tide is expected at 5:18 pm, reaching 1.71 metres. Another low tide is forecast at 5:02 am on August 27, with a height of 0.89 metres.
Between 8 am on August 25 and 8 am on August 26, average rainfall recorded across Mumbai was 0.84 mm in the city area, 0.69 mm in the eastern suburbs and 0.47 mm in the western suburbs.
The forecast indicates that cloudy conditions and intermittent rainfall are likely to continue across the city and suburbs.
Meanwhile, Delhi is likely to witness cloudy skies and spells of light rain during the week, while the national Capital's air quality remained largely in the moderate category on Wednesday.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast rainfall, thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds over several parts of the country. Isolated areas in northwest, central, eastern, northeastern, western and southern peninsular India may also experience heavy to very heavy rainfall.
For Delhi, the maximum temperature is expected to hover around 33 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature is likely to remain close to 26 degrees Celsius.
The weather department said that only light rainfall was recorded at the Safdarjung and Palam weather stations. However, the city is expected to continue receiving intermittent showers over the coming days as monsoon conditions remain favourable.
The active monsoon trough is likely to influence Delhi's weather, bringing cloudy conditions and relatively pleasant temperatures. While rainfall may lead to localised inconvenience and affect traffic movement in some areas, no major severe weather threat has been indicated for the capital at present.
The forecast follows heavy rain across Delhi-NCR on August 25, which resulted in waterlogging in several locations and disrupted traffic. The IMD had also issued a Yellow Alert for heavy rainfall in the national Capital.
