Mumbai weather updates: Mumbai is expected to witness partly cloudy skies with temperatures between 25 degree Celsius and 33 degree Celsius, while air quality remains largely satisfactory despite moderate pollution levels in certain areas

Mumbai city and its suburbs are likely to experience partly cloudy skies, with maximum and minimum temperatures expected to be around 33 degree Celsius and 25 degree Celsius, respectively.

According to the Centre's SAMEER app, Mumbai recorded an Air Quality Index (AQI) of 84 on Monday, placing it in the ‘satisfactory' category. At this level, minor breathing discomfort may be experienced by sensitive individuals.

Air quality levels varied across different parts of the city, with some areas reporting moderate levels. Deonar recorded the highest AQI of 160, while Navy Nagar reported 105. Chakala recorded an AQI of 118 and Bandra-Kurla Complex recorded 130, falling under the ‘moderate' category respectively

Other areas such as Borivali East (75), Chembur (79), Colaba (72), Bandra East (82), Malad West (88), Worli (65), Sion (78), Sewri (65), Powai (57), and Ghatkopar (98) reported relatively better air quality, remaining within the satisfactory range.

Air quality moderate in New Delhi

Delhi woke up to a warm morning on Monday, with the minimum temperature settling at 22.8 degrees Celsius.

According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), Safdarjung, the city's base station, recorded a minimum temperature of 22.8 degrees Celsius, 1.2 notches above normal. At Palam, the minimum settled at 22.6 degrees Celsius, marginally above the season's average.

Delhi's air quality settled in the 'moderate' category in the morning with the air quality index (AQI) reading of 194, according to data from the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).

According to the CPCB, an AQI between 0 and 50 is considered 'good', 51 to 100 'satisfactory', 101 to 200 'moderate', 201 to 300 'poor', 301 to 400 'very poor', and 401 to 500 'severe'.
