The striking Ola and Uber drivers have decided to postpone their strike, as they remained engaged in a series of meetings with the Transport Commissioner's office on Tuesday regarding their dispute with the aggregator companies, which have assured them that their demands will be considered.

"The transport department held two separate meetings, each with the trade unions and the cab aggregator companies on Tuesday. They have assured us that all issues will be resolved. However, the unions have demanded written assurances, which the companies have promised to provide by Wednesday," Additional Transport Commissioner Bharat Kalaskar said.

"The companies informed the transport department that they had accepted the drivers' demands and would provide written confirmation tomorrow or in the coming days. Ola and Uber have agreed in writing to pay government-approved rates. The Assistant Commissioner of the Transport Department has instructed that if cab and rickshaw drivers charge fares as per government rates, their IDs should not be blocked. Therefore, the bandh and Chakkajam agitation have been postponed for now," said Maharashtra Kamgar Sabha president Keshav Nana Kshirsagar, who is leading the agitation.
