After the recent rainfall brought much-needed relief, while the meteorological department has predicted the dip in temperature will last only a few days, officials say the days of scorching heat may be over

The sudden drop in temperature and pleasant weather that the city has been witnessing is likely to continue for the next couple of days. According to the Regional Meteorological Centre, the cyclone over the Arabian Sea is likely to affect the dip in temperature and increase the possibility of rainfall, in the city and the state.

Dip in temperature
"After three days, the temperature is expected to rise, but it would be lower than the October heat that was experienced by Mumbaikars before," said an IMD official. VK Rajeev, director of IMD, said, "The change in weather is due to cyclonic storm near the Arabian Sea, which formed the outer stream clouding. The dip in temperature is going to last for another three days. The sunny weather would be back, but without the scorching heat."
