In the letter, Ness Wadia has listed names of nine people; claims that the charges filed by Preity Zinta are 'false'

Industrialist Ness Wadia has submitted his own list of nine witnesses on Wednesday, who were present at Wankhede stadium on May 30, during the time when his former girlfriend and actress Preity Zinta was allegedly abused by him.

In his letter, Wadia has described the charges filed against him as ‘false'. "We believe these persons who were present would be able to provide independent and truthful facts about the events that took place at the stadium on that evening with regard to the false complaint filed by Preity Zinta against me," reads the letter.

On June 24, the actress had given her list of 14 witnesses to confirm that she was abused by the businessman, who also pulled her hand. Sources from Wadia group say that while there was a minor argument between the duo, Ness did not assault her, which their list of witnesses will confirm.

The letter was delivered to Marine Drive police station by a representative of the group. The list includes names of Sereika Lal, Loretta Joseph, Pooja Dadlani, Annelinie Adams, Farah Oomerbhoy, Sweetie Burman, Kamlesh Shah, Rayaan Mustapha and Sharath Nath.

Police officials have already recorded statements of Danish Merchant, Parul Khanna, Jay Kanojia, etc. from the list provided by Preity, and few of them confirmed that Ness had pulled her hand. Investigators are likely to record Ness Wadia's statement in the next 48 hours. "We will speak to the witnesses named by Ness and will corroborate all statements before taking a stand on the case," informed a police officer from Marine Drive station.

While the CCTV footage captured by Wankhede stadium and Sony Channel could prove to be a significant piece of evidence, officials are yet to receive the videos that will help in the investigation of the case.
