Qasab 'fan' arrested for hoax calls

The Mumbai Police crime branch arrested Vikas Yadav, a 19-year-old boy who is allegedly a fan of the hanged terrorist Amir Ajmal Kasab, for threatening to blow up three airlines


Last year, Yadav made three hoax calls threatening to hijack a plane and blow it up if Qasab was not be released. Three FIRs had been registered against him at the Mumbai airport and Saki Naka Police Stations.

Senior Inspector Deepak Phatangare arrested Yadav from Vapi in Gujarat on Friday.

"During investigation, Yadav told the police that he is fan of Qasab because he had dared to kill hundreds of people during 26/11.

Strangely, the Sabarmati Police in Gujarat had arrested his father Gorelal (45) in January 2011 for similar offences. The father-son duo had even threatened to blow up the Rajdhani and Garib Rath Express posing as Dawood Ibrahim's men.u00a0
