Charges fly in CCI controversy

The elite Cricket Club of India (CCI) is fighting for its reputation after its secretary and CEO Kamaljeet 'Bonny' Rajpal has had an FIR filed against him at the Marine Drive Police station on Tuesday.u00a0

A lady member of CCI has filed an FIR against Rajpal for sending her sexually explicit material on the computer.

Personal matter

Badal Mittal, president of the CCI, says, "This is a personal matter between the lady and Rajpal."

Mittal did though ask why the lady has filed a complaint two years later and added that, "revenge seems to be the motive."

Mittal said that the club had initiated disciplinary action against the lady some time earlier this year, "After she failed to pay some money at the Hindustan Lever's Lakme Beauty Salon in the club's premises after using a beauty service. We had to take disciplinary action as we have a complaint letter against her from Hindustan Lever."

Dues paid

The lady member's brother who did not want to be named shot back, "This is a personal vendetta. We have the bill of the beauty salon and all charges were paid except for some beauty treatment which was not given in the first place." u00a0He also added that, "Mittal is in no position to comment as he is not Rajpal's lawyer."
