The development comes a week after Vi rolled out its network services across 16 stations between Aarey JVLR and Acharya Atre Chowk. With the latest expansion, commuters travelling on the Aqua Line-3 will now have uninterrupted mobile connectivity across all stations on the route.

The newly covered section includes 11 stations from Science Centre Metro Station to Cuffe Parade, namely Mahalaxmi, Jagannath Shankar Sheth, Grant Road, Girgaon, Kalbadevi, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, Hutatma Chowk, Churchgate Metro, Vidhan Bhavan and other stations along the stretch, Vi said.

According to an official spokesperson for Vi, the network rollout ensures continuous voice and data services for passengers travelling through the fully underground metro corridor.

The expansion is expected to enhance the commuting experience for thousands of daily passengers by enabling seamless access to calls, messaging and internet services throughout their journey on Mumbai Metro Aqua Line-3.
