Earlier this month, Additional Municipal Commissioner (Western Suburbs) Dr Vipin Sharma conducted a comprehensive review of ongoing drain cleaning works in H East, H West, K North, and K South wards

The inspection covered both major and minor drains, reflecting the civic body’s push to ensure efficient stormwater management ahead of the monsoon season

During the visit, Dr Sharma inspected prominent drainage channels including Mogra Nala, Vakola Nala, Krishna Nagar Nala, Andheri Subway drain, and SNDT Nala

Smaller yet critical drains such as Bazaar Nala in Bandra, Garware Nala, and Apex Nala were also reviewed to assess on-ground progress

Officials were also instructed to ensure strict monitoring of the desilting process and maintain quality standards throughout the operation.
