According to information received by the disaster management cell, the fire started in a store room situated on the terrace of the ground-plus-six-storey building
The blaze affected materials stored inside, including electric wiring, plumbing items and other goods, civic officials said
The officials said that the fire brigade personnel rushed to the scene along with one fire engine and a rescue vehicle. Teams from the disaster management unit also arrived with a utility vehicle. Staff from the electricity department were present to assist in ensuring safety at the site
The fire was reported at around 6:10 pm and was completely extinguished by approximately 6:35 pm. Due to the quick response by emergency services, the situation was brought under control within a short time
Officials said that no injuries were reported in the incident. However, the fire caused damage to items stored in the room, including electrical and plumbing materials
