Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone XI) Sandeep Jadhav was personally present on Marve Road to monitor the security arrangements and ensure all safety measures are being followed, officials said

Heightened security has also been deployed at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) railway station, one of the city’s busiest transport hubs

Police sources said all units have been instructed to remain on high alert

Additional personnel have been stationed at sensitive and crowded areas as a precautionary measure, sources further said

Multiple agencies on Monday night reached the blast site to investigate the matter after powerful explosion in a care led to the death of at least 8 people and leaving several others injured
