Mumbai's first Gen Z-themed post office at Powai marks a significant step towards modernising postal services for young citizens

The facility was inaugurated by Amitabh Singh, Chief Postmaster General, Maharashtra & Goa Circle, in the presence of senior officials from India Post and representatives of IIT Bombay

The initiative aims to redefine the traditional post office experience by making it more engaging, digital and youth-friendly

Designed with a strong focus on Gen Z users, the post office offers a modern, technology-driven environment tailored for students

This Gen Z-themed post office at IIT Bombay offers free Wi-Fi connectivity, fully digital and QR-based postal services, contemporary seating arrangements, a mini library, and a dedicated music corner

The launch at IIT Bombay is expected to serve as a pilot for similar Gen Z–themed post offices in educational hubs and urban centres across the country
