A woman feeds pigeons at BMC Playground in Thakur Village, Kandivali (East), even after the Bombay High Court stating the ban.

Pigeons flock around as a woman scatters food for them at the BMC Playground, Kandivali (East).

BMC's decision to close kabutarkhanas (pigeon feeding spots) in the city and prohibit feeding of pigeons was in the larger interest of public health; the sanctity of the same has to be maintained.

Despite the ban, residents feed the pigeons; sudden noise sends the pigeons fluttering into the air while feeding at Thakur Village’s BMC Playground.

A woman’s act of kindness draws dozens of pigeons, making for a striking scene at the BMC Playground.
