The commuters at CSMT got a rare glimpse into the tools and technology used by the city’s fire-fighters
From robots to fire safety equipment, rescue tools, breathing apparatus, hydraulic cutters and high-tech fire suits, the Mumbai Fire Brigade displayed the wide range of tools they use in emergency situations in Mumbai
The demonstrations of equipment also showed how the Mumbai Fire Brigade tackles fires and rescue operations from high-rise buildings of Mumbai using their tools
The event comes days after the city marked the National Fire Service Day on April 14
Earlier, Additional Municipal Commissioner (Eastern Suburbs), Amit Saini, during a solemn tribute programme held at the Mumbai Fire Brigade headquarters in Byculla on the occasion of National Fire Service Day on Monday, had announced that India’s first modern fire training centre will soon come up in Kandivali
