Flag marches were part of security preparations for Ganeshotsav
One of the key routes covered by the police was the stretch from Don Taki (Two Tanks) through Girgaon to Chowpatty
The route is expected to witness heavy movement during the major immersion processions
On Anant Chaturdashi, several prominent Ganesh idols are taken for immersion
The route passes through densely populated areas of central South Mumbai and is an important pathway for devotees and processions heading towards Chowpatty
Police personnel were deployed along sensitive stretches to reassure residents, devotees and local businesses
The flag march was conducted to demonstrate police preparedness ahead of the major immersion days
