The May 17 event will be attended by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Ministers Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar, and Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) President Raj Thackeray.

Ahead of PM Modi's visit, stringent security measures have been put in place to ensure the safety of the public and VIPs attending the events.

The police have issued prohibitory orders under section 144 of CrPC, banning the use of drones, paragliders, balloons, kites, and remote-controlled microlight aircraft in the city on May 15 (Wednesday) and May 17 (Friday).

The decision to ban flying objects stems from concerns about potential security threats during the PM's visits.

Authorities cited the threat of terrorist or anti-social elements launching attacks using such devices, posing risks to public safety and property.

The police warned that individuals found violating the ban on flying objects will face legal consequences under IPC section 188, which pertains to disobeying lawful orders issued by public servants.

The restrictions on flying objects will be enforced across various police jurisdictions in Mumbai, including areas surrounding Shivaji Park such as Vikhroli, Kanjurmarg, Ghatkopar, Bandra, Worli, Dadar, and others.
